But nevertheless, here I am! And with lots of pictures to make this worth reading...or scrolling through.
To recap from last time- The Ringlers are Texas residents! Just pending the license change, changing our address for everything ever, and registering the cars.
During our week at camp I got a phone call offering me a 2nd grade teaching position in TX. I just about refused to take it becuase I did not want to move back to where I grew up. God had other plans, changed my heart real fast, and now we live here and love it.
There I am in my top staff uni....without a clue that I would be packing that car up to move to TX in 4 days. And yes, we have our plant (Karen) with us. Didn't want a week of heat & no water to kill our first child. We will be such good parents.
We had a quick, little goodbye dinner before we headed to TX.
Now, I teach 2nd Grade & Brad works at the Boys & Girls Club doing a similar job to what he did in AR.
Since this is Brad's first time living outside of AR we have done many TX things. Probably the most noteable would be the TX State Fair.
Sidenote: Fried Snickers=amazing, worth every single penny & calorie.
Next on the list to do: Northpark & Galleria at Christmas, ride the Dart, eat at Spring Creek BBQ, and see Dallas Cowboys Stadium.
We have made a couple trips back to AR. One was to get all of our stuff & say goodbye to our first home...
And another was for Lindsey's wedding weekend in which we went to a new favorite place- You know, Uno? Karaoke Bar. I think Lynley & I won "best duet" singing Whose Bed Have Your Boots Been Under and Brad & Tate won "most innapropriate" singing 99 Problems. Appropriate or not, it was a fun time. And no good trip to AR is complete without my 3 favorites: Loafin' Joes, Daisies & Olives, & Rick's Bakery.
To sum this up: We have been busy & blessed. I'm glad to have Brad with me on this adventure!
I'll leave you with this...
In case you didn't catch on, I am very important & help.
