So its June & I'm finally writing. And I know that I need a new post. Not only because its been a few months but because when I take a look at my traffic I see that 2 blogs often check my blog. Someone by the name of Baylor Barretts and Family Shmamily.
Must be stalkers...
Since Feb.5th, lots of things have happened. I think I'll use some pictures to tell of the most notable things.
Brad's Birthday & Surprise Dinner
Brad's parents were able to be here with us on his Birthday. They were headed back to AR from their anniversary trip so the timing worked out nicely. We went to the Arboretum and ate at Uncle Julios. Every 26yr old man wants to look at lovely flowers on his birthday, right? He's a good sport and it really was a fun time.
With the help of some friends, I was able to completely fool Brad & throw him a surprise birthday dinner with all of his besties. He was frustrated on our drive to AR b/c he had either called or texted all of his friends (every single person that was at the dinner) to ask if they wanted to hang out. Of course, they all had plans and couldn't join him. He was bummed but settled on going to his favorite resturaunt with just me. When the waitress showed us to our table all of our friends were there with the birthday cake.
I had some great pics but then our camera died...like it doesn't work anymore...and it won't load the pics.
| The picture isn't from the movie...obviously. Its actually the front of a tshirt we found on our trip to San Antonio. Its a gem. Who wants it for Christmas??? |
| This is one of me and my teacher friends at the midnight showing....with EFFIE TRINKET!!! |
Fam Pics
Since our family has been through some changes in the past year, we decided it was time for some family pics. And Nana's birthday was reason enough to get them done.
Was in 2 weddings
I was in Anna's wedding in Fayetteville and then soon after in Hanna's wedding in Oklahoma City. I have been friends with Anna and Hanna both since my first summer at Camp War Eagle. Brad & I are blessed with so many wonderful friendships from our summers there. I'm so grateful God had us work there for multiple summers.
I think I can officially hang my bridesmaid/house party hat. Its been a good time but I think I'll settle for attending weddings as a guest from now on. Well, unless I see someone that needs to bossed, notice something is off schedule, or see a centerpiece that could use some rearranging.
Brad quit his jobYep, he quit the good 'ol Boys & Girls Club. It wasn't the right place to be and he felt like he needed to leave. So, he put in his two weeks and was outta there. Luckily, he had applied at many different places before quitting; some full-time, some part-time. He was only unemployed for five hours...praise God! He's now working his tail off at two different part-time jobs but enjoying both. We are praying for a full-time job soon. Feel free to pray with us!
Triathalon, July 22nd
We signed up for a triathalon. We know these crazy guys that do Ironman races and they inspired us to do a Sprint Triathalon. Training has actually been really fun until this week. I'm just ready for the race to be here so I don't have to work out all of the time. I mean sometimes I just want to sit and watch the New Girl and not run. I sound like an Ironman in the making, I know.
Cute Titus
He's a good dog and I love him. Sometimes I forget that he is just a dog.
Well, not exactly. I'm teaching summer school for all of June. I'm grateful for an opportunity to make some extra moola but, hurry up July!

Welcome back...it's about d*** time!
